The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) in collaboration with Lifeline/Childline Zambia launched a portal to report child sexual abuse content online in Zambia on September 11, 2018.
The Internet watch Foundation (IWF) Portal is the country’s first online mechanism for reporting child sexual abuse imagery. The reporting portal will among other things avail people within Zambia with a platform to report child sexual abuse images discovered on the internet and will be used for information dissemination.
The launch is an achievement of both the Authority and all stakeholders in the country that have joined the global fight against child sexual abuse imagery on the internet. Sustainable Development Goal 16.2 aims to end all forms of violence by 2030.
