Call For Papers

CALL FOR PAPERS The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) in line with its
mandate of promoting research and development wishes to invite interested researchers
to submit papers in all areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as well as Postal Sector matters in Zambia. The targeted papers may range from original
research papers, survey papers, case studies and academic or scholarly articles, to extended
versions of previously published papers in conferences. We welcome high quality work that focuses on research, development and application in the aforesaid sectors.
The papers will be evaluated by an independent technical evaluation committee for
publication in the peer reviewed second (2nd) compendium of papers on the ICT and Postal
sector dubbed “Issues on Zambia’s ICT and Postal Sector”. Shortlisted authors will be
contacted to submit revised papers for publication after incorporating comments from
the technical evaluation committee. The resources being sought are aimed at gathering
evidence for policy and regulatory decisions in the ICT and Postal Sector. The papers
submitted by researchers will also provide a centralised platform for ICT and Postal
sector research in Zambia. Research papers may cover a wide range of themes
including but not limited to the following themes: • Telecommunication Policy and Regulation
• Postal Policy and Regulation
• Competition and Pricing of ICT services
• Consumer Protection issues in the ICT sector
• ICT innovation and Entrepreneurship
• Cyber Security
• Standardisation in the ICT Sector
• Spectrum Pricing and Allocation
• Digital Financial Services
• E-commerce
• E-Governance
• E – Health
• E- Education
• E- Agriculture
